At Constructco, sustainability is integrated into how we operate—not marketed as something we cannot verify. As a licensed California General B contractor serving hospitality brands, commercial facilities, healthcare campuses, and residential communities, we prioritize lawful, practical environmental compliance across all scopes of work.
We do not hold formal sustainability certifications or track environmental metrics beyond what is required by law. However, we maintain strict adherence to California’s environmental regulations and jobsite protocols in order to minimize impact, avoid violations, and meet the expectations of ESG-conscious clients.
Regulatory Compliance
Constructco aligns field operations with enforceable environmental standards, including:
- CALGreen Code (Title 24 – Part 11)
- California Air Resources Board (CARB) engine and equipment emissions regulations
- California Water Code, stormwater discharge, MS4 compliance
- CASQA Best Management Practices (BMPs) where applicable
- CalRecycle C&D Waste Diversion (targeting 65%+ when feasible)
- Proposition 65 product awareness and material sourcing due diligence
We do not retrofit compliance; we structure it into the scope and staging from day one.
Environmental Practices in Execution
Our project teams implement the following when applicable to the scope:
- Runoff Control: Pressure washing runoff is contained or redirected using BMPs. Site-specific controls are reviewed during tailgate safety briefings.
- Degreaser Use: Only biodegradable, city-approved products (e.g., EBC) are deployed, in compliance with local discharge ordinances.
- Air Quality Compliance: CARB-rated machinery and idle-reduction practices are enforced on site.
- Waste Handling: Jobsite debris is sorted and diverted through local C&D facilities when required. We do not track percentages unless contractually required but avoid landfilling whenever feasible.
- Low-VOC Materials: Utilized where specified or preferred by client, particularly in occupied spaces.
- Sourcing: Materials are locally or regionally sourced when available. No materials flagged under Proposition 65 are used without disclosure or approval.
Oversight & Crew Expectations
Constructco’s environmental compliance is managed on-site by foremen and verified by project management—not left to chance or delegated to subcontractors. All crews receive scope-specific instruction on environmental handling, staging, and site cleanliness. Our supervisors retain full responsibility for site condition, cleanliness, and environmental control throughout the job.
We do not outsource oversight, and we do not allow undocumented practices on our job sites.
Positioning for ESG-Conscious Clients
Constructco supports clients that operate under environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks. While we do not make claims we cannot prove, we structure our field execution to:
- Minimize environmental exposure and legal liability
- Prevent violations and reduce the risk of complaints or citations
- Maintain transparency with material usage and jobsite documentation
- Provide field-level evidence that our scopes meet current regulatory expectations
What We Do Not Claim
Constructco does not market itself as a “green contractor.” We do not:
- Track carbon offsets
- Hold LEED or ISO certifications
- Guarantee recycled or low-emission materials unless specified by client
- Publish internal ESG metrics
What we offer is honest, lawful, clean execution that meets or exceeds California’s regulatory minimums—and satisfies client-side legal, risk, and procurement teams without misrepresentation.
Client Assurance
Our sustainability commitment is reflected in how we manage your site:
- Lawful field practices that stand up to city, state, or client audits
- Material awareness, documented handling, and practical waste control
- No shortcuts, no overstated claims—just enforceable, visible compliance
